Art Workshop - Spring Woodland
Sketch and paint British spring woodlands and flowers
Enjoy a creative day at Burghley learning how to sketch and illustrate the beauty of British spring woodlands and seasonal flowers.
Led by artist Hannah Magrath, this relaxed and friendly workshop takes inspiration from the woodlands and wider landscape around Burghley House. Working from photographic reference, you’ll explore spring subjects such as bluebells, primroses, wood anemones and forget-me-nots.
Hannah will guide you through the process from initial drawing to building up colour and texture, using a range of media including gouache, watercolour and ink. Demonstrations and one-to-one support throughout the day will give you the confidence to experiment and develop your own style.
Suitable for beginners and anyone looking to build on their skills.
All materials are provided, and no previous experience is needed.
