Our Wedding Spaces

From small romantic weddings to grand celebrations, choose from our unique wedding spaces to create the most unforgettable day.

The Great Hall

The Great Hall, with its stunning Tudor fireplace and double hammer-beam ceiling, provides a spectacular setting. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert dined here during a visit in 1844 and the same dining table can be used today, giving your day unparalleled historic grandeur.

Ceremony or Wedding Breakfast - maximum 110 guests (42 with the Victorian Banqueting table)

Bow Room

The breath-taking frescos and lofty proportions of the Bow Room create the most dramatic setting for wedding ceremonies.

Ceremony - maximum 80 guests

Summer House

Ideal for a more intimate ceremony, the Summer House sits nestled in Burghley’s idyllic South Gardens with captivating views of the lake and the rolling parkland beyond.

Ceremony - maximum 27 guests

Rose Garden

A beautifully romantic setting amongst the roses and lavender, the Rose Garden offers the perfect place for summer drinks receptions.

Old Kitchen

A truly unique backdrop for a drinks reception with its soaring vaulted ceiling and a vast collection of 18th and 19th century copper to admire.

The Orangery

The elegant interiors of the 18th century Orangery are light and airy with huge windows overlooking the beautiful Rose Garden.

Evening Reception - maximum 160 guests

From deliciously delicate canapés and melt-in-the-mouth mains, to desserts that are simply perfection on a plate, our expert catering team will work with you to create a tailored menu that reflects your vision for the big day.

Perfectly packaged

Burghley offers a range of Wedding Packages that can be tailored to create the wedding you've always dreamed of. Your dedicated wedding planner will provide help, advice and support throughout the planning process to ensure your day is simply perfect.

Weddings in the Great Hall or Bow Room are available on Fridays from March to October, or on any day from November to February.

Summer House weddings can take place on Saturdays from March to October.

Our hire fee is £6000 (for 2024/25 weddings).

The planning of the wedding was executed with precision, and with such a great attention to detail. You made the wedding of our daughter magical, a day that we will remember forever.
