Sculpture Workshop - Portraits in Wire

Unleash your creativity and learn new skills in this full day sculpture workshop

Working with local sculptor Robert Fogell create your own unique portrait using various coloured wires and mixed media materials. Learn how to research, articulate and develop three-dimensional portraits. Study the Modernists as inspiration and develop your creative thinking and practical technical skills.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities – whether you are a complete beginner or are looking to refine your skills. Work at your own pace with Robert on hand to provide support and guidance.

Robert Fogell initially trained as a Sculpture Conservator working on classical and modern stone sculpture and allied materials in public and private collections from around the UK. He now has his own studio based at Burghley House.

"My work explores the geometry of sculpture and attempts to convey fundamental elements of symmetry and proportion and how they interact with each other."
