Sculpture Exhibition

Where art and nature combine in inspirational ways

The beautiful and tranquil Sculpture Garden is an open-air gallery, home to a collection of striking sculpture. Each year a specially curated temporary sculpture exhibition is displayed in the Sculpture Garden, alongside the permanent collection, to showcase different styles and the versatility of the sculpture medium.

Sculpture Exhibition 2024

Joseph Hillier - On Balance

On Balance is a mid-career survey exhibition of Joseph Hillier’s varied responses to the human figure. Featuring sculptures in wood, steel, bronze, and aluminium that collectively explore the human condition through material form and various techniques including carving, construction, and casting. With the latter incorporating the use of digital 3D scanning and 3D printing to render human motion through time.

Nick Horrigan - Denatured

In the exhibition Denatured, Nick Horrigan presents new sculptures exploring his interest in the interplay between synthetic and natural materials. As you will see, wood is always centre stage in his practice, often on a grand scale, but it is the tensions between materials that aims to open a dialogue about our environmental footprint.
