Summer Savings
Reduced admission prices are available on all Day Tickets between 25 June and 1 September as part of the Government's Great British Summer Savings scheme.
What’s included?
Reduced prices apply to:
- Adult, Child and Family Day Tickets – includes Advance Tickets, On The Day Tickets and Gift Aid Tickets (25 June to 1 September 2026)
- Beastly Boring Tour Tickets (10-13 and 5 August 2026)
- Tickets already purchased for visits during the Summer Savings dates (25 June to 1 September). You will automatically receive a refund to reflect the reduced Summer Savings price. Refunds for eligible ticket purchases will be processed by 31 July 2026.
What’s not included?
The Summer Savings price reduction does not apply to:
- Annual Passes
- Event Tickets
- Third-party Event Tickets
- Tickets booked during the Summer Savings dates for visits outside of these dates.

Summer Savings FAQs
How can I find out more about the Government's Summer Savings scheme?
Summer Savings is a Government initiative that temporarily reduces the rate of VAT on admission tickets at participating attractions during the summer period. Burghley is taking part in the scheme and has passed this saving on through lower prices on eligible Day Tickets between 25 June and 1 September 2026. Further information is available on the Government website www.gov.uk.
How do I receive the Summer Savings reduction?
Summer Savings price reductions are automatically applied to eligible tickets for visits between 25 June and 1 September 2026. There is nothing extra you need to do when booking.
Which tickets are included in Summer Savings?
Summer Savings applies to standard Day Admission Tickets, including Adult, Child, and Family Tickets, for visits between 25 June and 1 September 2026. Tickets for Beastly Boring Tour during the Summer Savings period are also included.
Which tickets are excluded from Summer Savings?
Summer Savings does not apply to Annual Passes, event tickets, third-party events or other admission products outside standard Day Tickets and Beastly Boring Tour Tickets..
I've already booked tickets for the Summer Savings period. Will I receive a refund to reflect the price reduction?
Yes. If you purchased eligible Day Tickets or Beastly Boring Tour tickets before the Summer Savings prices were introduced and your visit falls between 25 June and 1 September 2026, you will automatically receive a refund to reflect the reduced Summer Savings price. Refunds will be processed by 31 July 2026. If you have any questions about your refund, please email burghley@burghley.co.uk quoting your booking reference.
Can I still receive the Advance Booking discount when booking online?
Yes. Advance Booking savings of up to 10% are still available when booking online up to midnight on the day before your visit. Summer Savings prices are applied to the Advance Booking ticket price, so you will benefit from both reductions.
Do Summer Savings prices apply to tickets purchased at the Ticket Desk?
Yes, eligible Day Tickets purchased at the Ticket Desk between 25 June and 1 September 2026 will include the Summer Savings reduction.
Do Summer Savings prices apply if I choose to add Gift Aid?
Yes, eligible tickets purchased with the voluntary Gift Aid donation will still benefit from the Summer Savings reduction.
Can I still upgrade my reduced price Day Ticket to an Annual Pass?
Yes. Day Tickets purchased during the Summer Savings period can still be upgraded to an Annual Pass within 30 days of your visit. Upgrades can be completed at any Ticket Desk. When upgrading, the value of your Day Ticket will be deducted from the cost of the Annual Pass in the usual way. Please note that Annual Passes are not included in the Government's Great British Summer Savings scheme, so Annual Pass prices remain unchanged.
