Important announcement regarding credit and debit payments at Burghley
We have been made aware by our partner, Worldpay, that some debit or credit card payments, made by visitors to Burghley, have been taken twice. We have been told that this is only the case with transactions made between 17 October and 10 November this year. This only includes payments by credit or debit card payments made on site at Burghley. Online payments have not been affected.
Worldpay has confirmed that any payments that were taken in error, will be fully refunded. However, this may take up to 10 days from the date the refunds were processed (5 and 6 December 2024). We are very sorry for any concern and inconvenience this may have caused. Worldpay have assured us that they have identified the issue and have taken steps to avoid a similar mistake happening in the future.
