Bar and Hospitality Supervisor – Burghley Park Golf Club
Burghley Park Golf Club is situated in the historic parkland surrounding Burghley House and located on the outskirts of Stamford. Burghley Park is a Golf Club open to both members and visitors.
The Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working person to become our Bar and Hospitality Supervisor working with our Front of House team in the Clubhouse bar and restaurant. Our Clubhouse has a multifunctional lounge area and a bar and restaurant area. The bar is open 7 days a week from 9am to dusk. This is a full-time position, rotas are planned in advance, but the successful candidate will need to have flexibility in days worked as these will change each week and will include weekend working and some evening functions.
The role will include:
- Deputising for the Manager on days off and holidays
- Training new members of the team
- Lead by example and motivating the Front of House team
- Ordering stock
- Carrying out stock takes
- Planning functions and events with customers
- Liaising with the Chef to plan functions and bookings
- Working with the kitchen team to ensure good service for all customers
- Keeping the bar and restaurant area clean, well-organised and easy to use
- Promoting and practising relevant health and safety, food hygiene and fire safety standards
- Cellar management e.g. changing barrels and line cleaning
The person:
- Experience of working in a bar, restaurant or hotel
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to offer excellent customer service
- A hard-working team player
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to keep calm when working under pressure
