Session overview

Can a simple length of wire become a work of art? In this hands-on workshop, pupils explore sculpture through shape, line and material before creating their own wire dragonfly.

Following guidance from a member of our Education Team, pupils learn how to bend and shape silver wire to create their sculpture, then add coloured wire to make their dragonfly their own. It’s a practical, creative introduction to working in three dimensions, with the challenge and level of support adapted to match the age and ability of the group.
