Best Dressed Window in Stamford for Burghley Horse Trials
Burghley Horse Trials invites Stamford retailers to compete for Best Dressed Window
This September, the Defender Burghley Horse Trials, one of the country's biggest sporting events, returns to Stamford and local shops, businesses and cafés are invited to help welcome the event in style by entering a Best Dressed Window competition. Run in partnership with Shop Stamford, the initiative will celebrate Stamford’s spirit and shine a spotlight on its amazing High Street.
The Best Dressed Window winner will receive a prize of £500, plus plaques, certificates and Defender Burghley Horse Trials tickets to the winner and Highly Commended windows. Displays must be in place from 18th August to 7th September, and an independent group of judges comprising community figures and media representatives will judge them during the week commencing 18th August.
Displays may focus on the sport itself, the shopping and picnicing, the event's rich history, a favourite rider, or nod to one of the iconic cross-country fences - anything goes, providing the display relates to the Horse Trials and is fun, eye-catching and celebrates the spirit of the Horse Trials.
Updates, images and stories from the competition will be shared across the social channels of Defender Burghley Horse Trials, Burghley House, Shop Stamford and elsewhere, as well as feeding in to local and national media. This will be a fantastic way for local businesses to raise their profile while celebrating a key sporting event in the region.
