Visitor Information: Changes to Visitor Access During the Burghley Christmas Fair
Please be aware of the following closures and changes to visitor facilities and parkland surrounding the Burghley Christmas Fair.
To ensure public safety as we prepare for the Burghley Christmas Fair, access to areas around the event site will be restricted. All visitor facilities including shops, restaurants, car parks and parkland adjacent to Burghley House will be closed from Monday 25 to Wednesday 27 November inclusive. Facilities will also close on Monday 2 December for the event breakdown. During these times, the Main Visitor Entrance from Barnack Road and the pedestrian gate in the centre of the parkland (see map below) will be closed.
From Thursday 28 November to Sunday 1 December access to Burghley will be restricted to Christmas Fair ticket holders only. Tickets must be booked in advance and will not be available to purchase on the gate.
Burghley House is currently closed for the season, and the Gardens and Adventure Play will also close from Monday 25 November.
Pedestrian access to the Lower Park from Bottle Lodges and Station Gate (opposite Water Street on Barnack Road) will remain open and unaffected by these closures.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we prepare for this festive event.
