The elegant interiors of the 18th century Orangery are light and airy with huge windows overlooking the beautiful Rose Garden. The outdoor seating area amongst the roses and lavender is a stunning spot to dine on a sunny day.
We offer gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options as well as a special Children's Menu.

Mother's Day Sparkling Afternoon Tea
Celebrate Mother’s Day in elegant surroundings at The Orangery at Burghley, where our sparkling Afternoon Tea is beautifully presented and served with a glass of Coates & Seely sparkling wine on arrival. Indulge in exquisite sweet and savoury creations, from rhubarb and ginger tart to monkfish scampi and delicate finger sandwiches, all accompanied by your choice of fine teas or freshly brewed coffee.
Join us for Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea 2026 on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March, served from 12pm–4pm each day — the perfect way to treat someone special.

Traditional Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea is the perfect way to round off your visit to Burghley or to celebrate a special occasion. Enjoy delicious homemade scones, cakes and savoury treats served with a selection of teas and coffees.
