Experience the South Gardens in the height of their summer beauty
Come and enjoy the glorious floral displays in Burghley's South Gardens home to an extensive collection of roses, colourful herbaceous borders and beautiful wildflowers which give an injection of formality into ‘Capability’ Brown’s sweeping vistas.
Only open for a handful of weeks each year, don't miss this opportunity to explore the 28-acre private South Gardens, designed by ‘Capability’ Brown in the 18th Century and witness truly wonderful views of the lake, Lion Bridge and the park beyond. Discover the Summer House designed by Brown overlooking the lake, the oak circle and take in the swathes of summer blooms.

Accessibility | The Gardens are mostly accessible to wheelchair users but please be aware that the paths are gravel and some of the open grassed areas are undulated without pathways. Accessible toilets are available at the Garden Café, at the Brewhouse and next to the Orangery Restaurant.
