Seasonal Maintenance Operative
We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to work on a part time basis from March-November. The role will predominantly be working in our Adventure Play Area and Car Park.
The role will involve:
- carrying out basic daily maintenance and cleaning of the adventure playground
- carrying out daily health and safety checks of the adventure playground
- reporting any faults and working with the Estate Maintenance team to ensure that issues raised are fixed
- cleaning the play equipment, staff rest areas and first aid rooms
- carrying out small maintenance jobs in the play area
- emptying bins and litter picking in the car park and adventure play area
- general “tidying and housekeeping” of both areas
Candidates will need:
- To be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Have previous experience in basic maintenance
- To be happy to work outdoors in all weathers
- Be friendly and approachable
- Have good communication skills
- Computer literate and ability to use an iPad and smart phone to carry out daily safety checks
The role will involve working 3-4 hours a day from 8.30-12.30, 2/3 days a week, including some weekends and bank holidays. Staff are provided with a Burghley uniform.
