February Half Term
Join us for Half Term Adventures at Burghley
Wrap up warm and head outdoors this February Half Term for a family adventure at Burghley. From secret spy missions to early signs of spring, there's plenty to explore in the Gardens and Hide & Secrets Adventure Play. We're open from Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 February.
Spy Missions & Adventure Play
Young explorers can collect a Spymaster’s Guide at Hide & Secrets Adventure Play and join Cecil the Mole on a series of spy challenges. Crawl through tunnels, crack codes, hunt for hidden moles and follow sneaky trails as the mission unfolds.
For big thrills, head to at Hidden Towers. Race down two enormous slides, cross the daring rope bridge over a deep and craggy gorge to reach a treetop lookout. With plenty of climbing, clambering and sliding, imaginations are free to run wild.
Open daily, 10am to 5pm. Book online in advance to save 10%.
Snowdrop Season
February is a special time to visit the Gardens, as winter gives way to the first signs of spring. Look out for carpets of snowdrops and early bursts of spring colour as you explore the Sculpture Garden.
During your visit why not join our friendly Gardens Team at a Family Snowdrop Planting session in the Sculpture Garden. It’s a hands-on way to contribute to next year’s beautiful display and a fun activity suitable for all ages.
Included with Admission Tickets and free for Annual Passholders.
Available 10.30 to 11.30am from 14 to 20 February.
Daily Garden Tours
Guided Garden Tours led by Burghley’s expert Gardens Team are available daily at 11.30am, between 14 and 20 February.
These relaxed walks, focusing on seasonal highlights such as Burghley’s abundant snowdrop displays, offer the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of the Gardens, while learning from those who care for them.
Garden Tours are included with Admission Tickets or Annual Passes and last 30 minutes.
Join us at 11.30am from 14 to 20 February.
Refuel along the way
When it’s time for a break, you’ll find plenty of family-friendly food options across the site. Pick up lunch boxes and hot or cold drinks from The Muddy Mole , right beside Adventure Play action, enjoy a light bite at the Garden Café, or sit down to the children’s menu at the Orangery Restaurant.
